(Mis)Understood
Misunderstood:
As the Ruler of Energy, Abigail has the potential to fix so many issues that plague the Earth. She could bring heat to those that are dying out in the cold by creating fire, she could bring life to a broken city by giving them a seemingly unlimited supply of energy… but what would that do other than give people a reason not to provide for themselves. Besides, Abigail’s powers have a limitation - one that could leave her as dead as the energy she repurposes. For her own safety, that’s not something she discloses to just anybody, so no one sees her limitations as they curse her name for not bringing light into their world of darkness. As unfair as it is, she can’t help but feel like they are correct… like she is selfish, ignoring her potential to do so much for so many. She’s tried, but if the people don’t forget how to provide for themselves, she chokes from the fear of being eliminated for their needs.
Understood:
Much like her energy, there is only so much of me that this universe is equipped to handle. I waste so much energy on things that truly are not at all important. I need to learn to conserve all that energy for an occasion that actually deserves. I exert far too much energy for no reasons these days and if I don’t learn to make a change, it’s sure to be the death of me.
